How to stop trades damaging the concrete slab

This video is on how better resin flooring specification can help stop other trades damaging the concrete slab:

Video Transcript:

I just wanted to touch again on this topic of resin flooring specification. I had a discussion with a flooring installer who was very frustrated because he turned up onto the concrete slab with the designer of it, who was supposed to have written the specification. And the designer was horrified to see that the other trades who had been working there had cut into the slab.

They had spray paint all over the place, marking what they were doing and on the ceiling of all places. Why do they need to do that? And the biggest problem was it was clear coat system that was meant to be done.

Now, if the resin flooring specification was written properly and it was considerate of all the trades people that are having to do their thing then it would’ve been taken care of. The project manager, the builder and so on would’ve known that you have to take care of that floor and that concrete slab.

Have you been frustrated by resin flooring specifications?

So, let’s get that specification right. I need flooring installers to be thinking that way and to be putting their input in, not just dealing with the mess at the end of the day.

My name is Jack Josephsen. You’ve seen this video on RealWorldEpoxies.com. If you like this video, please share it, like it, and more importantly, write a comment under the video. Tell me what it is that you’ve felt frustrating about specifications. What is it that we need to do as an industry to improve that topic on specifications.

As always, take care and keep smiling.
