Industrial epoxy flooring example - mine drainage

Concrete aprons and drains of uranium mine coated with industrial epoxy flooring.

The concrete aprons and drains in the unloading areas of the Ranger Uranium Mine in the Northern Territory had been severely damaged after two years of acid attack. The client, Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) Ltd, were looking to re-build these structures and coat them with an industrial epoxy flooring to prolong their lifespan.

With enhanced chemical resistance, Jaxxon 1545 was chosen as the suitable industrial epoxy coating and was applied in three coats to protect against exposure to the extremely aggressive environment, which included 97% sulphuric acid.

The Epoxy Floor Coating Specialists carried out the application, adding to their impressive track record of service in the mining industry using Jaxxon products.
